Bacillus cereus SH-02 has been characterized in a single 2022 in vitro study examining production of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB), a biodegradable bioplastic, under fermentation conditions optimized using response surface methodology. This research is industrial and materials-science in scope and has no relevance to human health applications.
