Lacticaseibacillus paracasei CNCM I-1572
Lacticaseibacillus paracasei CNCM I-1572 (commercially known as L. casei DG) has accumulated a body of human clinical research, with multiple randomized controlled trials examining its role in digestive health. RCT and observational research has examined symptom frequency in patients with irritable bowel syndrome and episode frequency in those with colonic diverticular disease (small pouches that can form in the intestinal wall). A 2020 RCT also examined amino acid absorption from plant protein following supplementation. Gastrointestinal transit studies have examined the strain's survival through passage in the gut. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
Share of this strain's 10 body-system-tagged papers that concern each system. Research coverage, not measured effect.
Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
