Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P101 A
Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P101 (and the closely related P101-A sub-isolate) has been studied extensively in animal models, with a research focus on liver health and gut-liver axis interactions. Multiple mouse studies have examined it in models of alcoholic liver injury, chemical-induced liver damage, heavy metal exposure, and cyclophosphamide-induced oxidative stress, examining gut microbiota composition and signaling pathways such as Nrf2. A 2025 animal study examined this strain in the context of combined microplastic and plasticizer (DEHP) exposure and gut microbiota. In vitro screening has also examined cholesterol metabolism. All studies identified are preclinical; no human clinical trials for this strain were identified in the index. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
Share of this strain's 13 body-system-tagged papers that concern each system. Research coverage, not measured effect.
Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
