Lactobacillus casei ATCC 334
Lactobacillus casei ATCC 334 is a well-characterized reference strain widely used in laboratory research to study probiotic biology, fermentation, and food technology. In vitro studies have examined its cholesterol oxidation product-binding capacity and its interactions with intestinal immune cells, including cytokine-related signaling in human mucosal tissue models. One animal study examined a related L. casei polysaccharide-peptidoglycan component in a murine model of inflammatory bowel disease. Much of the strain-specific evidence is early-stage or in vitro, and human clinical data for this particular strain are limited. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
Share of this strain's 21 body-system-tagged papers that concern each system. Research coverage, not measured effect.
Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
