Pediococcus acidilactici KABP-021 has a small evidence base. A 2022 human RCT using a probiotic blend that included this strain examined defecation frequency, mental health scores, and self-reported productivity in healthy Japanese adults under stress. A 2026 animal study examined a related KABP formulation in the context of airway inflammation triggered by particulate matter (PM10) and diesel exhaust particles, an environmental exposure context. Strain-specific data are limited, and the multi-strain RCT design makes it difficult to isolate KABP-021's individual contribution.
