Bifidobacterium bifidum BF-1
Bifidobacterium bifidum BF-1 has been studied primarily in relation to gastric mucosal health. In vitro research has examined its effects on gene expression in human epithelial cells in the context of Helicobacter pylori infection, and animal model research has examined mucin production and gastric tissue integrity under conditions of acute injury. An observational study examined recovery of the strain in human feces after oral administration, in the context of gastrointestinal transit. Human intervention trials are not yet available in the linked literature. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
Share of this strain's 3 body-system-tagged papers that concern each system. Research coverage, not measured effect.
Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
