Enterococcus faecium M-74
Enterococcus faecium M-74 is a strain used historically in veterinary probiotic preparations (marketed as Lactiferm) and has been studied primarily in animal models, poultry and piglets, examining growth, bone mineralization, and blood parameters. A small number of human studies exist, including a pilot observational study in cancer patients and a single RCT examining serum cholesterol after one year of use. Enterococcus faecium is classified as a potential opportunistic pathogen in certain clinical contexts. The available evidence for this strain is largely animal-based and early-stage; no established human clinical efficacy has been confirmed. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
