Bifidobacterium longum ES1
Bifidobacterium longum ES1 has been studied in laboratory settings for an anti-inflammatory profile, including in vitro work examining pro-inflammatory signaling associated with certain gut conditions. Pilot human observational studies have examined it in the context of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea predominance and non-celiac gluten sensitivity, with cytokine measures examined over 8 to 12 weeks in small cohorts; these have not been confirmed in large randomized trials. A separate small observational study examined its administration in women with recurrent pregnancy loss, with endometrial inflammation markers measured. The current evidence base is predominantly observational and early-stage, and broader clinical confirmation would be needed. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
