Weissella cibaria CMU
Weissella cibaria CMU is an oral probiotic strain (isolated from human saliva) that has been evaluated specifically in the context of oral health. Multiple human RCTs have investigated this strain in the context of halitosis (bad breath), dental caries, and gingivitis. In vitro studies have examined its interactions with oral pathogens and biofilm formation on dental and implant surfaces, and phenotypic and genomic analyses have been used to characterize the strain. W. cibaria CMU is primarily an oral microbiome intervention; any outcomes described in the literature are specific to oral health endpoints and should not be interpreted as systemic or digestive health effects. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →

Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
