Bifidobacterium pseudolongum
Bifidobacterium pseudolongum is a species found in the intestinal microbiota of various mammals, including rodents and swine, where it has attracted growing research interest as a potential probiotic candidate. Animal model studies have examined B. pseudolongum enrichment during fasting-mimicking diet conditions in a colorectal cancer mouse model in relation to immune memory responses, and separate work has examined possible roles in liver injury and intestinal barrier signaling pathways. These findings derive exclusively from animal experiments; no human clinical trials have been conducted. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
