Lactobacillus acidophilus L-92
Lactobacillus acidophilus L-92 has been studied with a focus on allergic conditions, including atopic dermatitis (eczema) and allergic rhinitis (hay fever). Multiple Japanese randomized controlled trials, some using heat-killed rather than live cells, have examined symptom scores for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis severity in adults and children. In vitro studies have examined the strain's influence on immune cell gene expression in the context of allergy research. The trials are mostly from a single research tradition and used varying preparations, so independent replication remains an important next step. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
Share of this strain's 38 body-system-tagged papers that concern each system. Research coverage, not measured effect.
Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
