Bacillus coagulans GBI-30 6086
Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086 is a spore-forming probiotic strain with a published genome sequence. Human RCT evidence includes a trial in school-age children examining immune-related markers during respiratory and gastrointestinal illness, and a separate study examining amino acid absorption from milk protein. In vitro research has examined immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory mechanisms in laboratory settings, and animal studies have examined metabolic markers in rodent models. The spore-forming nature of the strain is associated with heat and processing stability, which has drawn food-industry research interest for use in baked and fermented foods. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
