Bacillus clausii
Bacillus clausii is a spore-forming bacterium studied as a potential probiotic organism in research. In vitro and animal studies have examined its tolerance to gastrointestinal transit stress, capacity for antibiotic biodegradation (cephalosporins), and antimicrobial protein production (laccase). Clinical research includes a randomized controlled trial in children with diarrhea and observational assessments in allergic rhinitis and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Additional research has investigated potential immunomodulatory pathways and applications in food fermentation, though documented cases of bacteremia have also been reported in the literature.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
Share of this strain's 311 body-system-tagged papers that concern each system. Research coverage, not measured effect.
Symptoms in the research A tag means the paper's text names the symptom or condition — research coverage, not evidence of benefit. How we classify this →
