Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus Lcr35
Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus Lcr35 (formerly Lactobacillus casei rhamnosus Lcr35) has been evaluated in several randomized controlled trials across distinct clinical contexts, including pediatric chronic constipation, vaginal microbiome restoration following antibiotic treatment for bacterial vaginosis, and irritable bowel syndrome. In vitro and in vivo (C. elegans model) work has also examined antimicrobial properties against Candida albicans, with sulfur-containing compounds studied as possible contributors. Animal model research has examined the strain in the context of asthma and intestinal mucositis; these have not been confirmed in human trials. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
