Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04
Bifidobacterium lactis BL-04 (also classified as B. animalis subsp. lactis BL-04) has been evaluated in several randomized controlled trials examining immune and skin-related outcomes, including allergy symptoms during birch pollen season and skin hydration and wrinkle appearance. In vitro work has characterized the strain's ability to utilize prebiotic oligosaccharides and produce short-chain fatty acids. Safety assessments have examined antibiotic resistance and genomic risk factors. These are research topics, not findings; the papers do not establish that this strain treats or prevents any condition.
Where it's been studied Tags come from a conservative keyword scan of each paper's title, abstract, and summary. A tag is research coverage, not measured effect. How we classify this →
